This proposal describes a project with five components.  The common theme uniting these components is providing NASA competency-building education and research opportunities for academic faculty and higher education students so as strengthen Vermont's STEM pipeline and contribute to Outcome 1 (Employ and Educate) of the framework that guides the NASA Education portfolio.  An integral part of each project component is the involvement of undergraduate and/or graduate students preparing for careers in STEM disciplines and the direct use of NASA data, information, research content, scientific or technical activities, people and facilities.  Project components address the compelling
mutual needs of both the institutions where they are based and NASA and in the case of three of the five components
will involve partnerships between multiple institutions.
