ESMD Internship Information

NASA Exploration Internships General Information
These internships provide students ESMD-relevant work experience in industry or at a NASA center. Students will be engaged in hands-on engineering projects with a strong and involved mentor. Internships are open to juniors, seniors and graduate students.

  • A $6000 Stipend (includes Travel allowance) will be provided
  • Selected students will be responsible for acquiring housing arrangements and travel plans
  • Must be US Citizen
    • For a list of acceptable forms for proof of citizenship click here.
  • All applications will be approved by your local Space Grant Consortium.

The Vermont Space Grant Consortium (VSGC), based in UVM's College of Engineering and Mathematical Sciences (CEMS), has received funding from the Higher Education Office of NASA's Exploration Systems Missions Directorate (ESMD) to enhance three targeted components of Vermont's engineering education programs. Funded by the National Aeronautics and Space Administration (NASA), the Vermont Space Grant Consortium (VSGC) is one of a network of 52 university-based Space Grant Consortia representing every state, Puerto Rico, and the District of Columbia. Through this national network, over 963 affiliate organizations are funded to support science and engineering students, to provide public service, and to offer K-12 science education programs.
